49% Positive Rating for Lee Jae-myung Administration's North Korea Policy

Nearly half of citizens positively evaluate the Lee Jae-myung administration's policy toward North Korea and unification, a figure that is more than 10 percentage points higher than negative evaluations. According to the results of the second quarter opinion poll released on the 24th by the National Advisory Council on Democratic and Peaceful Unification (NACDPU)—the body established to gather public opinion on unification—49.2% of respondents supported the administration's North Korea and unification policy, while negative responses remained at 37.6%.

Positive responses were 11.6 percentage points higher than negative ones.

These results confirm a foundation of public support for the direction of the Lee Jae-myung administration's North Korea and unification policy and are expected to serve as crucial evidence for policy formulation that reflects public opinion during future inter-Korean relations initiatives and unification discussions.
