President Lee Jae-myung Meets with Anthropic CEO

President Lee Jae-myung met with Dario Amodei, CEO of the artificial intelligence (AI) company Anthropic, in San Francisco, U.S., on the 24th (local time).

This meeting is part of President Lee’s schedule to sequentially meet with CEOs of global companies, including Anthropic, OpenAI, Nvidia, and Broadcom. It is timed to coincide with an AI Summit attended by key domestic business figures, including Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong and SK Chairman Chey Tae-won.

During the meeting, President Lee explained the government's plan to expand AI investment, stating that South Korea "intends to significantly expand investment in the AI field in the future," and requested investment and contributions from Anthropic. CEO Amodei expressed gratitude for the Korean government prioritizing AI and replied, "We will be able to collaborate in many areas."
