Pro-Yoon Youth Group Demands Re-election in Protest at Hongik University

A rally held by the conservative youth group 'BOSS' near Hongik University Station in Mapo-gu, Seoul, at 3 PM on the Nth ostensibly championed 'restoring voting rights,' but was revealed to be a circuitous strategy to draw citizens into election fraud conspiracy theories under the guise of moderate slogans. On-site, the group attempted to propagate radical discourse in practice by presenting the universal slogan of 're-election' to citizens skeptical of electoral fraud.

Kim Jong-woo, a research professor at Yonsei University, analyzed this as a strategy to lower the barrier to entry for radical ideologies that are otherwise difficult to embrace. Jeon Sang-jin, a professor at Sogang University, pointed out that 'the empty vessel of a re-election demand is packaged as a moderate alternative, but it can serve as a seed for conspiracy theories.'

At a concurrent rally held at Olympic Park in Songpa-gu alongside the BOSS demonstration, the participation of far-right forces was also observed. Professor Moss Dan (Dan Hyun-myeong), who is under investigation for defamation, and Hwang Kyo-ahn, representative of Freedom and Innovation, attended and advocated for 'preventing election fraud and corruption.'
