Naver is accelerating the construction of large-scale AI infrastructure after securing a total of $10 billion (approximately 14 trillion won) from Nvidia, the world’s top AI semiconductor company, and global investment firm Brookfield. Nvidia agreed to directly invest $1 billion, while Brookfield agreed to support up to $9 billion. Sikander Rashid, Global Head of AI Infrastructure at Brookfield, stated that they aim to strengthen Korea's AI capabilities by combining global investment expertise with Naver’s data center operational know-how and Nvidia’s computing platforms.

This investment serves as a turning point for Naver, extending the data center operational expertise it has built over 30 years into the global AI infrastructure business. The influx of massive capital and technical prowess into the domestic AI industry ecosystem is expected to contribute to enhancing the competitiveness of related industries.

Naver plans to introduce Nvidia’s next-generation platforms to this infrastructure. Leveraging its massive capital and global business network, the facility is expected to serve as a hub providing computing resources for training and inference to domestic institutions as well as overseas AI firms, including those in the U.S.
