Man in 40s Arrested for Murdering Patient in His 70s at Nursing Hospital in Gwangju
A man in his 70s has been arrested by police for killing a fellow patient with a lethal weapon at a nursing hospital in Gwangju, allegedly due to noise from the victim opening a wardrobe. Police arrested Mr. A as a red-handed criminal around 6:40 p.m. today on charges of murder for stabbing Mr. B, a patient in his 70s, multiple times with a lethal weapon at a nursing hospital in Sinan-dong, Buk-gu, Gwangju.
Investigations revealed that Mr. A confessed to committing the crime after a long-standing conflict with Mr. B, claiming he was too loud when opening and closing the wardrobe. Other patients were present in the hospital room at the time. Mr. B sustained a severe neck injury and was transported to a hospital, but was pronounced dead.
Polic plan to seek a detention warrant for Mr. A after investigating the details of the incident with the suspect and witnesses.
