Naver has expanded the scope of 'Naver Collection,' a digital certificate service that previously verified product purchase histories, to the areas of donation and social contribution. The company issued 'digital donation certificates' containing donation details to participants of the '815 Run' campaign. Participants who received the certificates can verify their donation records at any time using only their Naver ID, eliminating the need to store separate paper receipts.

The move is also expected to reduce environmental impact. Digital certificates do not require a physical production process. Naver explained that this reduces carbon emissions associated with printing and delivery.

A feature to encourage sharing of records has also been added. On August 15, Naver held an SNS sharing event at an offline booth set up at the event site, utilizing the 'Share' function of Naver Collection. By allowing participants to share their donation certificates, the structure encourages individual participation records to lead to further participation in giving.

Na Yoon-jae, Leader of Naver Digital ID & Authentication, stated, "Naver Collection, which has verified brand trust and moments of purchase, now extends to recording moments of giving." He added, "We will continue to expand the areas where we can prove meaningful activities left by users with certificates, ensuring they are safely stored and can be viewed at any time."
