AI robot alerts family with live video when a senior's call for help goes unanswered

When a senior calls for help, an AI robot comes to them. Tuya Smart unveiled "Doova," a wheeled AI home companion robot for seniors living independently, at IFA 2026 in Berlin, Germany.

Doova is designed to move around the home and assist the user. When the user calls out "Hey Tuya, help," Doova travels to their location and checks on the situation.

According to Tuya, if the user does not respond within 60 seconds, Doova initiates an emergency response procedure, sending family members an alert with a two-way live video call.
