President Lee Jae-myung directly rebutted concerns over opening Cabinet meetings to the public, writing on X (formerly Twitter) on the 18th, "It is a lie that ministers cannot speak because it is a public meeting." His rebuttal was aimed at claims that some Cabinet members had voiced concerns about the live-broadcast Cabinet meeting during a dinner hosted by the prime minister.

"I find it hard to understand why people, up to spreading the lie that 'ministers can't speak at a public meeting,' are pressuring against the partial opening of Cabinet meetings that the public overwhelmingly welcomes," the president said.

He also touched on whether closed-door sessions would continue to be held alongside open ones. President Lee noted that closed-door sessions follow every Cabinet meeting without exception, and stressed that he has always enjoyed debate and particularly respects those who voice opposing views. He added that within an organization, the red-team role must function well to prevent problems and flawed thinking.
