Samsung Electronics' next flagship Galaxy S27 series is reportedly set for release in January 2027, or by February at the latest. The Galaxy S series has typically launched in January or February each year. Samsung has alternated between the two months before, with the Galaxy S25 series debuting in mid-January and the S26 series in late February. Even if the launch slips to February, it would reportedly still fall within Samsung's usual release window.

The base Galaxy S27 and Plus models are effectively finished in development, but the Pro and Ultra variants have yet to lock down their component configurations, which could be a factor keeping the schedule fluid. The sticking points are memory and storage. Samsung is reportedly considering equipping the Pro and Ultra with UFS 5.0 storage and LPDDR6 memory. UFS 5.0 came up earlier this year as well, when price and mass production were cited as the key issues.

The processor has also not been finalized. The Ultra is said to use an Exynos 2700 or a Snapdragon-class chip depending on the region.

The lineup is reported to consist of four models: Galaxy S27, S27+, S27 Pro, and S27 Ultra. It has been described as the first time in Galaxy S series history that a Pro model joins the lineup. However, the overall leak is unofficial information, and Samsung has yet to confirm anything.
