October 22 Labor Market Report: Rolex Recruits Talent

백영우백영우 기자· 10/22/2026, 4:43:28 AM· Updated 10/22/2026, 4:43:28 AM

Rolex is hiring staff as it opens its first standalone flagship store in South Korea.

A compilation of public job-posting data shows that the most recently tallied postings number around 80 from 46 companies. The most eye-catching trend among them is luxury retail. Executive search firm Humaneist Co. is recruiting a branch manager, sales associates, and an office-administration staff member for Rolex's first standalone flagship in Korea. The same firm is also running postings for sales staff at Louis Vuitton Korea in Seoul, Gyeonggi Province, and nationwide, as well as assistant manager and staff positions at Chaumet and Fred, jewelry brands of the LVMH Group. The concentration of luxury-related postings at a single consulting firm shows that the expansion of sales infrastructure in the domestic luxury market is translating into hiring demand.

Restructuring Around Executive Search, Tightening Demand for Experienced Hires

A distinct feature of this data is that a large share of postings are outsourced to specialist consulting and search firms rather than posted directly by companies. Roughly half of the 46 companies are recruitment agencies or executive search firms. Raon Search Co. is recruiting an experienced environment, health and safety professional at an advanced chemicals manufacturer, and experienced sales staff at the manager-to-senior-manager level for a cosmetics ingredients maker. Good Career is seeking a data center development project manager and power panel electrical design engineers at a mid-sized manufacturer, with openings ranging from associate level all the way to director level.

Maverick Consulting posted openings for a key account manager for auto-parts sales and an information security administrator, while HR For You is seeking a compliance team leader at a foreign insurance company. Background Co. has also been commissioned to recruit quality QC talent for a KOSDAQ-listed advanced chemical materials company affiliated with a well-known group. This pattern reflects companies' preference for experienced hires who can contribute immediately, rather than open recruitment of new graduates, and their practice of delegating the search to specialist firms.

A Hiring Map by Industry

Breaking down the roles by industry reveals four pillars: distribution and services, manufacturing and chemicals, IT and development, and education. In IT and development, representative postings include a payroll system year-end tax adjustment module developer at Human Consulting Group and an automation control programmer at JSI Co. Renew People is hiring an English-speaking global game GM, an R&D center head at an ITS specialist firm, and a team leader for overseas sales of PCBs for automotive and defense applications. The number of postings that require both language skills and overseas sales experience signals that the stage for corporate hiring is expanding from the domestic to the global market.

The most notable sector in manufacturing and technology is aerospace. VAerospace Co. is simultaneously recruiting 2026 R&D personnel in Incheon and Daejeon, and is also hiring for executive support roles. Expanding R&D staff across two regions can be read as a sign that the industry has entered a phase of shoring up its workforce base in advance. As W. Clement Stone said, success belongs to those who keep trying — the repeated filling of postings is itself what builds the foundation of an industry.

Customer Service and Education: The Ecosystem of Small-Scale Hiring

Apart from commissioned hiring by large and mid-sized companies, region-based small-scale hiring is also active. P&P Career Co. is recruiting counselors for Yogiyo's customer center in Busan and Bithumb CS counselors, while Pave Dermatology Clinic is seeking an English-speaking aesthetician and a counseling office manager near Yongsan Station. The fact that delivery platforms and cryptocurrency exchanges continue to hire customer-facing staff shows that demand for operational personnel in the digital services industry is structurally stable.

In education, Saenghak Academy and ESC English Academy posted openings for a secondary school math instructor and an education administrator, while Shop Music is recruiting an early-childhood music instructor in Cheongju, requiring ownership of a vehicle. ManpowerSearch has also been commissioned to hire executive-level talent, including a CMO and an e-commerce leader for a clean, vegan beauty brand. The beauty industry recruiting not only for sales and planning roles but all the way up to chief marketing officer level suggests that brand competition is spreading to the top of organizations.

Outlook: Demand for Experienced and Global Talent Continues

Taken together, this data points to three structural directions: first, the expansion of sales staff in luxury and premium retail; second, the entrenchment of experienced hiring through executive search; and third, demand for global and technical talent in gaming, defense, and aerospace. Rolex's first standalone flagship hiring in Korea is not an isolated event but one example of the trend of foreign luxury companies treating Korea as an independent market.

Going forward, companies are expected to increase precision searches through specialist firms to make hiring processes more efficient. For job seekers, rather than waiting for a particular company's posting, it will be advantageous to read the flows of industries and job functions and build a career accordingly. As the saying goes, building an unshakable tower requires a solid foundation — this appears to be a period when companies are working hard to strengthen their talent base.
