Lee Jun-seok, a lawmaker of the Reform Party, referred to independent lawmaker Han Dong-hoon as a "shallow legal technician." Appearing on YTN Radio on the 23rd, Lee said of Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon's stated intention to serve as a bridge for "centrist conservatism" by bringing together Lee, Han, and former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min, "Mayor Oh wouldn't have such ideas in mind," signaling he has no intention of working with Han. Lee said, "The ruling in Mayor Oh's trial came out today because some legal technician went around stirring up the whole neighborhood," adding, "Some shallow legal technician ran wild, trying to destroy anyone regardless of whose side they were on, and this is what came of it."

When the host asked him to evaluate Han's legislative work, Lee said, "People come to resemble those they hate," suggesting that Han seems to be moving in a direction similar to former party leader Hong Joon-pyo, who was famous as a 'sniper.' Asked whether he sees Han as a rival for the next presidential race, Lee replied, "We're on different paths, so I pay little attention to what legal technicians are up to."

Lee also pointed out, "I wish the legal establishment types would disappear from politics," saying, "What the legal elites deal with in the National Assembly is far removed from what the younger generation in places like Dongtan care about," and added that he would keep his distance from their disputes as much as possible.
