iM Senior Finance University Holds Inaugural Ceremony for First Class
The iM Social Contribution Foundation held the entrance ceremony for the first cohort of the 'iM Senior Finance University' at the iM Bank's Second Headquarters in Buk-gu, Daegu, on the 16th, marking the official start of the program. This educational initiative aims to reduce the digital divide for seniors facing difficulties with digital devices and to assist them in conducting secure financial transactions. The event was attended by approximately 50 seniors, along with Hwang Byung-woo, Chairman of iM Financial Group, and Kim Jin-hong, Chairman of the Daegu Senior Welfare Center Association.
Chairman Hwang Byung-woo expressed his hope that the program would impart essential financial knowledge to seniors and provide practical assistance. The foundation presented the enrolled students with ID cards bearing their names and provided all attendees with an admission kit including a diary, stationery set, and a bag.
The 8-week curriculum will cover topics such as retirement asset management, pensions and taxes, digital banking app usage, and financial fraud prevention. Current employees from iM Bank and iM Securities will serve as instructors, delivering expert financial knowledge.
The iM Social Contribution Foundation plans to train outstanding graduates as 'Senior Financial Mentors,' offering them opportunities to serve as digital finance mentors in the future.
