Ilsan Baek Hospital Rises to 43rd in 'Best Hospitals in Korea' Ranking
Inje University Ilsan Baek Hospital has proven its medical service competitiveness, climbing to 43rd place in the domestic rankings for the '2026 World's Best Hospitals' – a four-spot increase from last year. The evaluation comprehensively factored in medical quality, patient experience, recommendations from healthcare professionals in 32 countries, and the level of adoption of patient-reported outcome measures (PROMs). The results notably reflect an increased weighting on the hospital's clinical outcomes and patient-centered care standards.
Ilsan Baek Hospital completed a large-scale expansion and remodeling project last year, enhancing its treatment environment. It has strengthened investment in medical equipment and facilities, including being the first in the Gyeonggi region to introduce the next-generation robotic surgical system, da Vinci 5, and establishing the DV surgical table, compatible with this system, as the first in Asia.
Based on these improved treatment environments, Ilsan Baek Hospital provided medical services to local residents last year, treating approximately 570,000 outpatients, 23,000 inpatients, performing 13,000 surgeries, and handling about 30,000 emergency patients.
Director Choi Won-ju stated that the hospital will strive to enhance its treatment capabilities to provide complete care for all local patients and diseases, based on human-centered values.
