Gyeongbuk Volunteer Recognition Ordinance, Proposed by Chairman Park, Passes Standing Committee

The 'Bill to Amend the Gyeongsangbuk-do Ordinance on Support for Volunteer Activities,' principally proposed by Park Soon-bum, Chairman of the Gyeongsangbuk-do Provincial Council's Construction and Firefighting Committee, passed the Health, Welfare, and Administrative Committee's review on March 18. This amendment was promoted to enhance the pride of volunteers and spread a culture of voluntary participation in service across the province.

The core of this amendment is the establishment of a basis for awarding plaques to outstanding volunteers who have achieved over 5,000 cumulative hours of service.

The amendment is set to be finally confirmed through a resolution at the plenary session of the 361st extraordinary meeting on April 1.
