Hyundai E&C to Develop Future Apartments with Robot-Assisted Delivery and Patrols

Hyundai Engineering & Construction (E&C) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hyundai Motor/Kia Robotics Lab and Suprema to advance residential complexes utilizing service robots. The agreement was signed on June 18 at the 'World Security Expo 2026' held at KINTEX in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, with the goal of establishing robot operational infrastructure and offering services closely integrated with residents' daily lives.

Under this partnership, Hyundai Motor/Kia Robotics Lab will supply autonomous mobility platforms, while Suprema will provide AI-based integrated security and access control solutions. Hyundai E&C intends to integrate these technologies into its branded apartment mobile app to enable robot summoning and real-time status monitoring.

This agreement aims to drive the development of future residential models that combine robots and AI security technology, where robots will autonomously patrol and provide delivery services within complexes. Hyundai E&C plans to expand this robot-based smart community ecosystem to its future strategic development sites.
