Childcare Safety Group Develops, Distributes Infant Sex Education Kits

The Childcare Safety Mutual Aid Association has developed and begun distributing infant sex education safety tools aimed at fostering healthy growth and sex sensitivity in babies. As the importance of child rights and sex awareness education has been increasingly emphasized, an infant-tailored tool set has been prepared for use in childcare settings.

These tools are play-centered kits designed to help infants understand the preciousness of their own bodies and learn to respect others through play. A diaper changing screen helps protect infants' privacy during diaper changes and assists children in recognizing their bodies as areas that should be protected. The kit includes two types of dress-up baby dolls, a fabric book for bowel movement themes, two fabric books, a diaper changing screen, and a guide for instructors.

Chairman Oh Yeon-ju stated that it is important for children to learn to cherish their bodies and respect others from infancy. The association plans to support play-centered safety education tailored to the developmental stages of infants, reflecting feedback from childcare professionals.
