The Busan Metropolitan Police Agency will hold a committee meeting on the afternoon of the 24th to decide whether to publicly disclose personal information, including the name and face, of a suspect in his 50s, identified as Kim, accused of murdering an airline captain. The deliberation comes amid high public interest in the disclosure of identities of suspects involved in serious crimes, and the committee's decision will determine the scope and method of public disclosure.

Kim is accused of fatally stabbing airline captain A, a former colleague, with a weapon around 5:30 AM on the 17th at an apartment in Busanjin-gu, Busan. It was also revealed that he attempted to murder captain B, another former colleague, in Ilsanseo-gu, Goyang-si, Gyeonggi Province, the day before the incident on the 16th, but failed.

Investigations revealed that Kim had harbored grudges against four captains, including captain A, who was his senior at the Air Force Academy and a former colleague, and planned the crime. Kim prepared for the crime by posing as a delivery driver to identify the victims' residences. Immediately after murdering A, Kim visited the residence of another former colleague, C, in Changwon, Gyeongsangnam-do, but did not commit further offenses.

Kim, who had fled to Ulsan, was apprehended by police around 8 PM on the 17th and was arrested on the 20th.
