Iran Accused of Using North Korean Missile Technology to Attack US, Allies
An expert analysis has emerged suggesting that Iran has utilized North Korean missile technology to strike US military bases and allies amid its conflict with the United States and Israel. Dr. Bruce Bechtol, an expert on the strategic alliance between Iran and North Korea, pointed out that Iran's extensive missile systems were developed in close cooperation with the design of the communist North Korean regime, designated by the US as a state sponsor of terrorism.
Dr. Bechtol explained that Iran purchased and received 19 'Musudan' missiles from North Korea in 2005, thereby possessing such capabilities since that year. With North Korea's support, Iran has also become capable of producing 'Emad' (range approx. 1,750 km) and 'Ghadr' (range approx. 1,950 km) missiles.
Dr. Bechtol added that Iran's ballistic missile threat has been most prominently highlighted during the ongoing war between the US and Iran, and these missiles have been launched not only at US facilities and Israeli cities but also at neighboring Islamic countries. Iran used these two systems to strike more distant targets, including Israel.
