Major SOC Projects to Accelerate in Second Half of Year

Major social infrastructure (SOC) projects, forming the bedrock of the economy and daily life, including roads, ports, and railways, will gain full momentum from the second half of the year. Key examples include the designation of the Incheon New Port Offshore Wind Power Support Port, the groundbreaking for the Uiwang Cheonggye Interchange, and the commencement of detailed design for the Dongtan Tram. The Incheon New Port Offshore Wind Power Support Port project, having completed its formal designation within the first half of the year, is scheduled for full-scale advancement starting in the second half.

Road construction connecting Uiwang Cheonggye Interchange and Suwon Road has commenced.

The development project for Gimpo Gamjeong District 4, which was halted due to subway Line 5 extension plans, will be resumed. Yongin City is enhancing its wide-area transportation network through road construction projects aimed at strengthening connections to semiconductor clusters.
