KB Kookmin Card's Walking Campaign Surpasses 122 Million Steps
KB Kookmin Card has surpassed its initial goal of 100 million steps in the 'ALL YOU NEED Campaign,' a walking initiative involving employees to mark its founding anniversary, reaching a total of 122.4 million steps. This achievement, exceeding the target by over 22%, successfully fulfilled the campaign's objectives of promoting employee health and social contribution.
The campaign operates by encouraging employees to voluntarily donate their steps; once a target is met, 'hope gifts' are provided to children and adolescents in vulnerable situations. This marks the fourth year of KB Kookmin Card's flagship ESG program, which began in 2023 and has since delivered hope gifts to a cumulative total of 1,323 children and adolescents. The funds raised through this campaign will be used to purchase hope gifts for 555 selected children and adolescents, whose stories were solicited through the Milal Welfare Foundation's website and the Bokjiro platform.
A KB Kookmin Card official stated, "It is particularly meaningful that the steps of each employee have come together to achieve results that surpassed our goal." The official added, "We will continue to support the dreams of children and adolescents in vulnerable situations through various campaigns that spread warmth."
Beyond this campaign, KB Kookmin Card continues its social contribution activities as part of its inclusive financial practices. In February, for the 12th consecutive year, the company sponsored school bags and stationery for prospective elementary school students from low-income families. It also consistently provides digital education for youth in rural areas, art, sports, and music education for adolescents with disabilities, Korean language education for multicultural families, and financial education for youth.
