Artemis II Conducts Science Missions During Earth Return

During their return, they are continuing various experiments and spacecraft performance checks. NASA announced that it would conduct tests on the crew wearing compression garments during the return journey.

These garments are designed to help astronauts, who have been exposed to prolonged microgravity, maintain normal blood pressure and circulation as they readapt to Earth's gravity.

In addition to the compression garment tests, manual flight control tests for the Orion spacecraft will also be conducted. The purpose is to further verify Orion's flight performance in a real-world environment with the crew manually operating the craft. The Orion capsule is scheduled to splashdown in the sea off the coast of San Diego late on the 10th local time.
