Wisconsin Couple Arrested on Charges of Starving, Abusing Six Children

A Wisconsin couple in their 30s has been arrested on charges of starving their six children, aged 1 to 9, for years and forcing them to consume mold, insects, and dog food.

Casey Cano, 38, and Mary Cano, 35, were each indicted on six counts of repeated physical abuse and child neglect, and one count of exposing a child under 13 to sexual acts.

The abuse reportedly spanned approximately four years, from January 2018 to April 2022. The couple is accused of repeatedly striking the children with a belt, causing bruises and bleeding, and withholding food as a form of punishment.

The children, suffering from extreme hunger, were reportedly forced to consume mold, insects, dog food, and even grass.
