SPC Samlip Hit with Another Industrial Accident; Officials Under Investigation

A regrettable accident occurred at an SPC Samlip factory, resulting in two workers losing their fingers. The Ministry of Employment and Labor has launched an immediate investigation. This incident has led to company officials being booked on suspicion of violating the Industrial Safety and Health Act, which aims to protect workers' safety and health.

Immediately following the accident, the Ministry of Employment and Labor deployed labor supervisors from its Ansan branch to the site to investigate the circumstances of the incident and implement emergency safety measures, including suspending the use of equipment.

The SPC Samlip factory in Shingil-dong has seen a series of industrial accidents, including a major fire in February of this year and a fatal accident in May of last year.
