KOSPI Surpasses 5800, Won/Dollar Exchange Rate Climbs to 1480s

South Korea's KOSPI index surpassed the 5800 mark on the 13th, while the KOSDAQ closed at 1099.84, up 6.21 points (0.57%) from the previous day. The KOSPI closed at 5808.62, down 50.25 points (0.86%) from the previous day.

In the Seoul foreign exchange market, the won-dollar exchange rate rose to the mid-1480s. The dollar-won exchange rate recorded 1489.2 won at 3:30 PM, an increase of 6.8 won from the previous day's weekly closing price.
