Chungnam Education Office to Hold 2026 Safety Week

The '2026 Safety Week,' organized by the Chungnam Education Office, will take place from April 13 to 24. This week-long event features a variety of programs aimed at reducing potential risks in school settings, promoting a culture of safety, and fostering a secure school environment.

Key programs include inspections of disaster-vulnerable facilities in preparation for extreme rainfall, a disaster photo exhibition, and hands-on activities at a safety experience center. Schools will also independently offer practical safety education such as CPR training, fire prevention workshops, and 'survival backpack' packing.

Notably, on National Safety Day, April 16, the event will include a commemoration of the victims of the Sewol ferry disaster on its 12th anniversary and a reflection on the importance of safety. The Chungnam Education Office aims to leverage this Safety Week to promote the spread of a safety culture that involves both schools and the local community.
