Toss Expands Face Payment Service to Franchises

Toss is partnering with the Korea Franchise Association to expand its face recognition payment service, 'FacePay,' to franchise merchants. The company announced on the 15th that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the association. Through this agreement, both parties will collaborate to popularize FacePay among franchise businesses.

The Korea Franchise Association will support its member merchants in adopting FacePay, while Toss will provide the necessary payment infrastructure and technology for service implementation.

FacePay allows for payment using only facial authentication, eliminating the need for physical cards or smartphones and reflecting the latest technological trends. The service is expected to enhance customer convenience and improve operational efficiency by reducing repetitive tasks for store employees.
