Democratic Party nominates lawyer Jeon Tae-jin for Ulsan Nam-gap

The Democratic Party on the 17th nominated lawyer Jeon Tae-jin, its first recruited talent, for Ulsan Nam-gap, a district considered a 'conservative stronghold.' This by-election is being held as Rep. Kim Sang-wook is running as a preliminary candidate for Ulsan mayor.

At the recruitment event, Democratic Party leader Jung Chung-rae called lawyer Jeon Tae-jin the 'son of Ulsan' and 'an Ulsan native to the bone,' stating he would become an important figure for the Democratic Party in the Ulsan region. Lawyer Jeon Tae-jin graduated from Ulsan Hakseong High School and Seoul National University's Department of Political Science, and worked as a lawyer after completing his 33rd term at the Judicial Research and Training Institute.

In his acceptance speech at the recruitment event, he said, "The politician Ulsan needs most right now is not a fighter constantly confronting the central government, but a true worker who can bring what Ulsan needs."
