Oh Se-hoon to Jeong Woong-gi: 'You'll Repay Lee Jae-myung's Favor'

Seoul Mayor Oh Se-hoon, confirmed as the People Power Party's candidate, directly attacked Democratic Party candidate Jeong Woong-gi, saying, "He will be repaying Lee Jae-myung's favor for all four years." Mayor Oh held a press conference at the People Power Party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, on this day, mentioning that Jeong Woong-gi was selected as the Democratic Party's Seoul mayoral candidate by Lee Jae-myung.

Regarding Jeong's remarks that he evaluated the Daejang-dong project as a successful one, Mayor Oh expressed shock and concern about Jeong's attitude towards various development projects in Seoul. Furthermore, Mayor Oh interpreted Jeong's statement that he would "do what he wants" as meaning he "would not set new visions and work," pointing out that this revealed his philosophy as a mayor.

Mayor Oh Se-hoon is seeking a third consecutive term in this election. If elected, he would become the Seoul mayor for the fifth time, including his previous terms in 2006 and 2010. Mayor Oh's remarks came immediately after he was confirmed as the People Power Party's candidate for Seoul mayor, signaling the start of the main contest against candidate Jeong Woong-gi.
