The final court ruling has been confirmed for a man in his 30s who broke into the home of broadcaster Park Na-rae and stole items.

On the 16th, the Supreme Court's First Division (Presiding Justice Shin Sook-hee) dismissed the appeal filed by the man in his 30s, identified as Mr. A, who was indicted on charges of theft and nighttime residential intrusion. Accordingly, the original sentence of two years imprisonment imposed on Mr. A was finalized on the 20th.

Mr. A is accused of breaking into Park Na-rae's home in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, in April of last year and stealing valuables worth tens of millions of won. Both the first and second trials sentenced Mr. A to two years imprisonment. The appellate court dismissed the appeal, citing that Mr. A committed the crime during his probation period and there were no circumstances warranting a change in the sentence. The Supreme Court dismissed the appeal on the grounds that the reasons for appeal were improper.
