Jenner faces backlash over 'special seat in hell' comment regarding Trump support
Broadcaster Caitlyn Jenner revealed she is experiencing difficulties changing the gender marker on her passport after stating her support for Donald Trump. Appearing on Tommie Las More's podcast, Jenner said she had trouble changing her passport gender marker to 'F', adding that while she loves Trump and what he's doing, she understands he is busy regarding passport issues. Jenner also stated she sent a letter asking Donald Trump for help but received no response. Despite the passport issue, she reaffirmed her support for Donald Trump.
Talk show host Ana Navarro criticized Jenner's remarks, sarcastically stating Jenner has a 'special seat in hell.' Navarro pointed out that Jenner only prioritizes certain issues when they directly affect her. She also quoted transgender advocate Janetta Johnson, who called Jenner a 'rich, White b----' in 2015, adding that while Jenner can afford everything she needs, she has not strived to give back to the transgender community or drive change.
Jenner's passport gender marker issue is intertwined with current government policy, where the 'X' marker, issued since 2021, is no longer being issued by the government, and requests to change gender markers are being denied. Alissa Farah Griffin, a co-host of 'The View,' called the executive order a 'stupid policy,' suggesting it was intended to confuse people.
