Wang Yi Embarks on Southeast Asia Tour

Wang Yi, Director of the Office of the Central Foreign Affairs Commission of the Communist Party of China, will visit Cambodia, Thailand, and Myanmar from the 22nd to the 26th.

Guo Jiajun, spokesperson for China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, announced at a regular press briefing on the 21st that Director Wang will visit the three countries at their invitation. He added that in Cambodia, he will co-chair the inaugural '2+2 Strategic Dialogue' with Defense Minister Dong Jun. This meeting is the first to be held one year after its establishment was agreed upon between China and Cambodia in April last year.

Guo explained that this visit will deepen the construction of a community with a shared future between China and the three countries and inject impetus into their respective national development.
