Trump Urges Iran to Release 8 Women Facing Death Penalty
U.S. President Donald Trump has officially requested Iranian leadership to release eight women reportedly facing execution.
Mizan Online, the official media outlet for Iran's judiciary, refuted Trump's claims, stating, 'President Trump has once again been swayed by fake news.'
Mizan Online explained that some of the women reportedly facing imminent execution have already been released, and while the remainder might receive prison sentences if convicted, they are not subject to the death penalty.
