Constitutional Court Begins Review of Ex-President Yoon Suk-yeol's Challenge to Special Prosecutor Law

Former President Yoon Suk-yeol's camp has filed a constitutional complaint with the Constitutional Court, citing the unconstitutionality of the 'Internal Affairs Special Prosecutor Law' regarding its investigative targets, the appointment process for the special prosecutor, and the special prosecutor's authority over cases pending indictment. The Constitutional Court has accepted the case for formal review.

The prosecution has dismissed charges against presiding judges suspected of drunken misconduct during work hours, who failed to appear for parliamentary audit questioning. The dismissal was based on unmet requirements after the deadline for their summons had passed, following a referral from the National Assembly's Legislation and Judiciary Committee.

A decision is pending from the Supreme Court regarding the final appeal in a lawsuit filed by the National Health Insurance Service against tobacco companies.
