NH Amundi Unveils ETF Lineup for Physical AI Ecosystem Investment

NH Amundi Asset Management has launched Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) that invest in the five-stage value chain of Artificial Intelligence (AI) that operates in the real world (Physical AI), from energy to AI applications, aligning with the 'AI 5-Layer Cake' concept presented by Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang. This move aims to offer investment opportunities across the entire related industrial ecosystem, as AI technology that interacts with physical objects, going beyond the digital realm, becomes increasingly important.

NH Amundi Asset Management is currently focusing its ETF products on the energy, semiconductor, and AI application segments of the five-stage value chain. The energy sector includes 'HANARO Nuclear Power iSelect' and 'HANARO Electric Power Facility Investment,' while the semiconductor sector features 'HANARO Fn K-Semiconductor.' In the AI application segment, 'HANARO K-Humanoid Theme TOP10' is included.

The 'HANARO Global Physical AI Active' ETF, launched last year, invests diversely across the entire physical AI value chain, including robotics, autonomous driving, and industrial automation, achieving a 129.31% return in its first year after listing. Kwon Yong-min, Head of ETF Product Research Team at NH Amundi Asset Management, stated that while products for the infrastructure and model segments are not yet available, they are under development with a target launch in the second half of this year.

In the energy sector, the focus is on the increased power demand driven by AI industry expansion, with ETFs for nuclear power and power facility investment taking the lead. 'HANARO Nuclear Power iSelect' and 'HANARO Electric Power Facility Investment' ETFs hold net assets of 960.6 billion KRW and 148.9 billion KRW, respectively, recording year-to-date returns of 60.67% and 71.63%. Both products hold stocks related to nuclear and power facility equipment, such as Doosan Enerbility, HD Hyundai Electric, Hyosung Heavy Industries, and LS ELECTRIC.

In the AI application sector, humanoid robots are presented as a representative theme, and the related product, 'HANARO K-Humanoid Theme TOP10,' invests in the domestic component and manufacturing value chain necessary for humanoid implementation.
