High School Students Honored by Police Chief for Rescuing Suicide Attempt Survivor

The Donghae Police Station in Gangwon Province awarded the Police Chief's commendation on the 24th to Kim Mo and Moon Mo, third-year students at Bukpyeong High School, who rescued a citizen attempting suicide on the night of the 19th. Their brave actions serve as an example to the community.

While taking a break from studying, Kim and Moon discovered a citizen attempting suicide in a commercial building. They immediately administered first aid and contacted the police.

The Donghae Police Station visited the school to present the students with certificates of commendation and reward money. Station Chief Seo Gyeong-min urged them to prioritize their own safety during rescue operations.
