Macrogen Expands Health Information Services with AI Genomics Technology

Global artificial intelligence (AI) genomics analysis company Macrogen has launched new microbiome analysis services, marking an expansion of its personalized healthcare portfolio. These new services, built on AI genomics technology, particularly target women and infants, aiming to enhance the provision of customized health management services tailored to individual health conditions.

Microbiome is drawing attention as a key approach to disease treatment, with the related market projected to grow to approximately 2.4 trillion won by 2026.

Macrogen is establishing a foundation for integrated, lifecycle-based health management by introducing new services that analyze the connection between the vaginal microbiome environment of mothers and the formation of infant gut microbiomes. The new services analyze the maternal vaginal environment and the initial stages of infant gut ecosystem development, providing personalized management guidance on diet, health supplements, and lifestyle habits based on test results. A Macrogen representative stated that the company plans to expand its lifecycle-based health management services through microbiome-based analysis and customized solutions.
