Ulju Seobu Comprehensive Welfare Center Launches Integrated Campaign to Prevent Deaths from Social Isolation
The Ulju Welfare Foundation's Seobu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center conducted an integrated campaign to prevent lonely deaths in the Eonyang-eup area on April 24th. The campaign was organized to raise local residents' interest and to more easily identify households in need of welfare support.
Multiple teams within the welfare center collaborated to strengthen the support system, and promotional activities included distributing welfare benefit information leaflets in areas with high foot traffic such as Eonyang-eupseong Fortress and Eonyang Market. Residents participated in the 'Write a Warm Word Postcard' program, practicing care for their neighbors.
At-risk households identified through the campaign will receive emergency support and case management services tailored to their specific situations following in-depth consultations.
Kim Deok-jin, director of the Seobu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, emphasized the importance of careful observation and early detection by the community for socially isolated households. He stated that the center would do its best to build a welfare safety net that leaves no neighbor behind by strengthening on-site activities.
