Domestic gasoline prices at gas stations have risen for four consecutive weeks. In the fourth week of April, the national average retail price for gasoline was 2003.8 won per liter, an increase of 7.5 won from the previous week. During the same period, the average retail price for diesel also rose by 7.5 won, reaching 1997.7 won.

Among regions, Seoul recorded the highest average gasoline price at 2039.3 won per liter, while Daegu registered the lowest at 1988.9 won.

Uncertainty in the Middle East region is fueling a rise in international oil prices. Global oil prices increased amid escalating concerns of military conflict between the United States and Iran. As of April 23, Dubai crude oil prices stood at $104.8 per barrel, up $6.3 from $98.5 on April 20.
