Gangwon Apartment Pre-sale Prices Exceed 500 Million Won
Apartment pre-sale prices in the Gangwon region have significantly increased, with the average selling price for a standard-sized (84㎡) apartment now exceeding 530 million won. As of March this year, the average pre-sale price for an 84㎡ apartment in Gangwon stood at 530 million won, a rise of over 14% compared to a year ago. Even smaller 59㎡ apartments now average over 400 million won, marking an approximately 18% surge over the same period.
The primary driver behind this surge in pre-sale prices is the escalating cost of construction.
In contrast to the rising prices, demand from genuine local buyers has contracted. This widening gap between price and demand has amplified instability in the Gangwon housing market. Consequently, the financial burden on prospective homebuyers is increasing.
