Ulsan Mayor Hypothetical Race: Kim Sang-wook Leads Kim Duk-young 55.3% to 35.7%

Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Sang-wook leads incumbent Mayor Kim Duk-young by 19.6 percentage points in a hypothetical race for the next Ulsan mayoral election.

The poll was conducted by a specialized polling firm from March 25-26 among 1,006 adults aged 18 and over residing in Ulsan. It has a margin of error of ±3.1 percentage points at a 95% confidence level, with a response rate of 7.0%.

By age group, Mayor Kim Duk-young showed an advantage among those in their 20s and 70s and older, while Rep. Kim Sang-wook led among those in their 30s through 60s. Rep. Kim's support rating exceeded 60% in the 40s, 50s, and 60s age brackets.

By political leaning, Rep. Kim Sang-wook led Mayor Kim Duk-young among centrist voters, securing 56.5% support compared to the mayor's 31.9%. Among progressive voters, Rep. Kim garnered 79.3% support, while Mayor Kim led among conservative voters with 67.5% compared to Rep. Kim's 25.7%.
