Employee Fired Over 'Inappropriate' Remarks on Trump Assassination Attempt
An employee who made inappropriate remarks regarding the assassination attempt on former U.S. President Donald Trump has been fired from their company. The employee posted a video on social media expressing apparent regret that Trump survived the shooting incident, along with the caption, “Aww, they missed?”
The employee's employer, UnitedHealthcare, took immediate action in response to the incident. UnitedHealthcare confirmed the immediate termination, stating, “Violence is never acceptable, and any remarks suggesting otherwise are completely inconsistent with our company's mission and values.”
Earlier, former President Trump was the target of a shooting incident on April 25, 2026, during a White House Correspondents' Association dinner event held at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington D.C. The suspect, Cole Thomas Allen, was arrested at the scene. The incident has sparked backlash against the U.S. healthcare industry following the shooting, as well as discussions about the nature of political discourse.
