Hyosung Heavy Industries Unveils AI Data Center Power Solutions in US

Hyosung Heavy Industries has unveiled an integrated solution to stably supply power required by artificial intelligence (AI) data centers at the largest power exhibition in the United States. This solution contributes to efficiently building the power grids essential for data centers in the era of surging AI.

Hyosung Heavy Industries will participate in the 'IEEE PES T&D 2026' exhibition, held in Chicago, USA, from May 4th to 7th (local time), to showcase its key products. Major exhibits include an 800kV (kilovolt) Gas Circuit Breaker (GCB) and the world's first-developed 22.9kV (kilovolt) Solid State Transformer (SST). The SST is a next-generation solution responding to the increased power demand stemming from the growth of the AI industry.

Recently, it has been reported that AI industry expansion in the US is expected to increase data center power demand by approximately 25% over the next decade.
