Major Presidential Contenders Vie in National Assembly By-Elections
Major presidential contenders are running in the National Assembly by-elections scheduled for June 5. Among them are Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party; Song Young-gil, former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea; Lee Kwang-jae, former Governor of Gangwon Province; and Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the People Power Party.
Cho Kuk, leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, is running in the Pyeongtaek-eul constituency in Gyeonggi Province. The Yeonsu-gap constituency in Incheon is being discussed as the stage for Song Young-gil's return.
Lee Kwang-jae, former Governor of Gangwon Province, is running in Hanam-gap, Gyeonggi Province. Han Dong-hoon, former leader of the People Power Party, is running as an independent in the Buk-gu-gap constituency in Busan.
