Buramjun, a candidate for the Jeju Provincial Assembly representing the Ora-dong district for the Progressive Party, launched his official election campaign by holding an opening ceremony for his campaign office on the 3rd.

Buramjun characterized the upcoming election as a choice for residents to decide whether to accept the ruling party's failed nominations or to correct them through their own power. He pointed to controversies surrounding phantom party members and rule changes that arose during the ruling party's primary process, arguing that the democratic legitimacy of the political party has collapsed.

Buramjun presented himself as a candidate who has fought alongside residents in the field, pledging to pursue politics that changes people's lives rather than politics driven by connections to power.

Buramjun unveiled his seven key campaign pledges: expanding cultural and health programs for seniors, resolving household waste issues, operating a tailored childcare center for dual-income families, introducing a circular bus route and improving public transportation, expanding public parking lots, enacting ordinances to improve the treatment of taxi drivers, resolving delivery fee issues, and holding a referendum on the second airport project.
