Chugyeong-ho Pledges to Revitalize Daegu Economy, Addresses Intra-Party Nomination Disputes

Chugyeong-ho, the People Power Party's candidate for Daegu Mayor, held his election office opening ceremony on the 3rd, emphasizing the revitalization of Daegu's economy and the rallying of conservative supporters. The candidate argued that the strength of the conservative government, which began in Daegu, must spread through Busan and Gyeongnam to the Seoul metropolitan area. He stressed the importance of protecting Daegu's spirit and identity, which have saved South Korea, and through this, winning the election with unified strength and sending that momentum nationwide. He mentioned the dedication of Daegu citizens who defended the Nakdong River line, asserting that Daegu, the heart of conservatism, must not waver.

Jang Dong-hyuk, leader of the People Power Party, appealed for support for candidate Chugyeong-ho, emphasizing the need to protect South Korea from Daegu, the heart of conservatism. He criticized Kim Boo-kyum, co-chair of the Democratic Party's election committee, for returning to Daegu after leaving it and then advocating for its development. Jang apologized as party leader for the hurt and concern caused to the citizens of Daegu during the nomination process.

Kim Moon-soo, honorary election committee chairman for the People Power Party, appealed for support for Chugyeong-ho, calling him the right person to revitalize Daegu's economy and create jobs. He warned that if the People Power Party collapses in Daegu, it could lead to a one-party dictatorship.
