Trump Orders Operation for Safe Withdrawal of Ships from Strait of Hormuz
US President Donald Trump has announced the commencement of an operation to assist other countries' vessels facing navigational difficulties in the Strait of Hormuz due to tensions between Iran and the United States, ensuring their safe passage.
Through social media, President Trump conveyed that multiple nations had sought US help for the safe transit of their ships trapped in the Strait of Hormuz.
Consequently, the US is set to launch 'Operation Freedom' starting on the morning of May 4 (Middle East time), aimed at aiding the safe withdrawal of third-country vessels and their crews. President Trump also issued a warning of a strong response if humanitarian procedures are obstructed.
