NH Nonghyup Bank Introduces AI Meeting Minutes System to Innovate Banking Operations

NH Nonghyup Bank has become the first in the banking sector to introduce the 'NH AI Meeting Minutes' system. This system combines STT (Speech-to-Text) technology, which converts speech to text, with AI technologies like LLM (Large Language Model) that understand and generate text, and is expected to aid in efficiently recording and managing meeting content.

The 'NH AI Meeting Minutes' system automatically converts spoken words during meetings into text using STT, and then uses LLM to summarize key points and major decisions. The generated minutes can be instantly shared and digitalized. Kim Yong-hwan, head of NH Nonghyup Bank's Process Innovation Department, stated this is a 'cornerstone for leaping forward as a leading bank in AI transformation.'

Amidst the structural shift in the banking sector's AI investment from customer-facing (front-end) to internal operations (back office), the proactive establishment of internal tool automation is analyzed as a key variable for future cost structure competitiveness. With customer-facing automation reaching a certain level, the next efficiency challenge is focused on reducing internal operational costs, which significantly influences the entire organization's decision-making speed and cost-effectiveness, thereby acting as a critical factor in determining a bank's digital competitiveness.
