FBI Admits Falsifying Warrant Applications for Trump Campaign Surveillance
It has been revealed that the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) submitted false information during the process of obtaining court warrants used to surveil former President Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.
Former aide Kash Patel claimed that FISA warrants were used to illegally monitor Trump and senior officials, including himself, during and after the 2016 presidential campaign. He raised questions about the weaponization and accountability of federal agencies, mentioning the discovery of 'burn bags' at FBI headquarters.
Former aide Patel asserted that the FBI's surveillance warrants were evidence of illegal intelligence gathering activities targeting political opponents.
