Seo Byung-soo Backs Han Dong-hoon, Urges Consolidation
Former lawmaker Seo Byung-soo has urged for consolidation, stepping forward to support Han Dong-hoon, a candidate for the Busan Buk-gu갑 parliamentary by-election, who is running as an independent after leaving his party. Seo stated that it would be inconvenient to retain party membership while deeply involved as honorary election campaign chairman, and that leaving the party would be a clear stance for the public. He added that this path could be for the good of the People Power Party.
Expressing a sense of crisis regarding the electoral landscape in Busan Buk-gu갑, Seo assessed it as a challenging fight from the outset. He argued that a consolidation is necessary now that the race has become a three-way contest. Seo evaluated that former leader Han Dong-hoon is popular and has a high likelihood of converting public support into votes based on his interactions with people.
The Busan Buk-gu갑 by-election has reformed into a three-way race featuring Democratic Party candidate Ha Jeong-woo, People Power Party candidate Park Min-shik, and independent candidate Han Dong-hoon.
