Democratic Party, People Power Party Unveil 'Balanced Development,' 'Housing Stability' as No. 1 Pledges

On May 11, 23 days ahead of the June 3 local elections, major political parties announced their No. 1 pledges.

The Democratic Party of Korea proposed 'balanced development,' while the People Power Party put forth 'housing stability,' presenting distinct policy directions. The Democratic Party has prioritized 'establishing administrative, financial, and institutional foundations for balanced development,' envisioning the completion of the '5 Hubs, 3 Special Zones' national balanced development strategy under the Lee Jae-myung administration.

The People Power Party presented 'housing stability' as its No. 1 pledge and 'regulatory deregulation' as its second, while separately announcing pledges for youth.

Meanwhile, the Cho Kuk Innovation Party announced 'A Lifetime of Peace of Mind in One's Own Home for 99 Years,' the Progressive Party proposed 'Publicization of Local Public Services,' and the Reform Party unveiled 'Growth Economy' as their No. 1 pledges. The Basic Income Party, Social Democratic Party, and Justice Party also put forth 'Realization of Basic Income,' 'Response to AI Inequality,' and 'Public Responsibility for Basic Services,' respectively, as their top pledges.
